Born in Brooklyn, cherry spent much of xyr childhood in Haiti, living in Port-au-Prince until moving to Boston in 2003 and returning to New York after graduating from Harvard in 2013. An economist-turned-leftist-poet-filmmaker, cherry has produced work that has been supported, presented, and distributed by institutions including The Museum of Modern Art, The New York Foundation for the Arts, The Los Angeles Review of Books, and The New York Times. When not spelunking the depths of xyr anarchistic subconscious, cherry helps restless teens master their SATs and ACTs.
