Our 14-week tutor training course will start in early January 2023. The course will train you on elements of Zinc’s approach to tutoring and test prep.

Zinc’s pedagogy sets us apart. We know that with effective test prep, any student can get a perfect score. How? We train our tutors to be effective coaches and empower their students to attack both content and method challenges by leveling up on L.E.A.R.N.
The tutor training course will be taught by one of Zinc’s senior mentor tutors.
Throughout the span of the 14-week course you’ll learn how to apply Zinc’s pedagogy. You’ll meet with your cohort once a week on Zoom for 2-hour class sessions, and then keep the conversation going between sessions on our online platform. You’ll have homework assigned every week, and plenty of opportunities to put what you’re learning into practice through roleplays with other students as well as recording actual sessions with a real SAT or ACT student.
